There used to be a stronger version of this product available which I preferred but this one is still good. I use it with several other items from the AC Collection range. Despite being in my mid-40s I’m still a prey to some long-lasting and painful pimples - I had cystic acne in my 20s and although it’s improved a lot, it always takes some vigilance and effort to keep it from getting bad again. When I remember to use these consistently, together with The Ordinary niacinamide and zinc serum (AC Collection also has a serum with niacinamide but I find The Ordinary’s more effective) I can go days or weeks with reasonably clear skin and even think my troublesome area (around the chin) looks quite nice. Has an astringent smell which I find refreshing, feels fresh and clean and although you need a moisturiser afterwards it is not harshly drying.
This is great for soothing cystic acne. I can't comment whether this quickens the healing process, but it certainly doesn't hinder it. It smells very strongly of tea tree oil, so give it a miss if you don't like that smell. Unsure if I will repurchase but it's still a great product to try
I gave this toner to my teenage sister for after she had been suffering with acne for years. It has helped calm her breakouts so far really well and she says its awesome!
Best toner I've used for my oily, eczema-prone skin. My skin's texture has improved after using this for the last two months. Overall happy with the result.
This has become a permanent part of my skin care regime! I have dry, acne-prone skin and this provides just the daily gentle exfoliation (PHA and BHA) I need as well as helping with keeping my acne at bay.
