Mid Day Blue UV Shield SPF50 PA++++
This physical sunscreen is hydrating, lightweight, non-irritant, and gentle for any skin type, even sensitive skin.
It is SPF 50/PA++++ and contains zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to protect your skin against UVA/UVB. By containing guaiazulene it also helps calm the skin. It has a natural tone-up effect after application with a semi-matte finish. Recommended for combination and oily skin.
How to use
Apply an adequate amount of sunscreen all over the face.
The smell is SO STRONG and the finish feels disgusting... like the previous review said "feels like chalk"
I have combination oily skin, with a really oily T-zone and normal skin on my cheeks and chin area. I was really excited to try this sunscreen because normal sunscreens make my face really oily and my makeup doesn't sit well on it. When I tried it, the sunscreen completely dried up my face and I didn't see a speck of oil on my nose or forehead. With that being said, my cheeks and chin was so dry by the end of the day that it started flaking. There was so much dead skin flaking off my face and this has never happened before because my skin is always oily. I thought it would be a one time thing so I tried it for the past few weeks.. Needless to say it has dried my skin out so much that my skin is constantly dehydrated now and almost wrinkly(?). However, the slight blue tone did neutralise my very yellow-toned face which I liked, and I used the sunscreen as my makeup primer. I think this product would be perfect for someone with extremely oily skin looking for a "tone up" look. Maybe not for combo skin or areas of the face that need a little bit more hydration. Will never buy this again, my skin is suffering TT
So I have both the original version of this sunscreen and this new one which I was super excited about.
First of all it does say that it doesn't leave a white cast but if you use a lot of sunscreen and are tan or dark skinned this version does leave a very obvious white cast. I'm a tan/ dark indian so i I didn't like the cast. That being said, I would reccomend the sunscreen for those with oily skin or someone that uses so much skincare their face looks oily sometimes (me). While I have oily combo skin some of my retinol treatments leave my skin dry and this sunscreen does not feel good then. So I don't reccomend for dry skin types. The original version is better for dry skins.
This sunscreen will be good for lighter skin individuals with oily skin.
Suitable for extremely oily skin - if you have slightly dry skin it makes your skin feel like chalk :(
