Hiya beauties! This month I luckily got to try the new addition to the Innisfree green tea family - the Derma Formula Green Tea Probiotics cream! I heard this cream sold out 12 hours after its first launch in Korea so I was really happy to see it stocked at HIKOCO!Price: $38
Main points: Support a healthy skin microbiome with green tea derived lactic acid!
You may have heard of all the benefits of probiotics on your digestive health, but did you know it works the same way for your skin as well? The microbiome is a layer of good and bad bacteria, yeast and other microbes that sits on top of our skin. When the amount of good and bad bacteria is balanced, our skin is strengthened, easily retains hydration and is well protected against the environment. However, if there is more bad bacteria we begin to see things like acne, eczema and other signs of irritation on the skin.
The Innisfree Derma Formula Green Tea Probiotics Cream uses a non-living probiotic (lactobacillus ferment lysate) derived from green tea grown on Jeju island to naturally produce an environment unwelcoming for bad bacteria! No break-outs? Yes please! The cream itself feels like satin thanks to the 3% ceramide! It also feels quite light on the face considering how thick it is, although this does make it take a little bit longer to absorb, but doesn’t leave an oily look. And for sensitive skin beauties who have always been scared to try Innisfree, this cream is 100% fragrance free!
I have oily/combination and acne-prone skin, and using this cream I definitely saw an improvement! Overtime my skin became less textured and red from irritation - I particularly liked using this cream right after using an AHA to calm my skin down from the acidic effects.
Overall, I would recommend this product for all skin types - those with more oily skin may want to use this cream only at night! But for those with combination/dry and sensitive skin who struggle from breakouts, redness and retaining hydration, this could be your next holy grail product!
