HI-REVIEW: Rom&nd Zero Sun Clean SPF50+ PA++++ [#01 Fresh]

by Hazel Sarcilla

Hi Beauties! Today I’m so excited to talk to you about Rom&nd’s Zero Sun Clean SPF50+ PA++++ [#01 Fresh]. I’ve tried their lip tints and glosses (they are AMAZING) and it took me by surprise when I found out that they have sunscreens too! We all know how important it is to apply sunscreen every day and finding good one without breaking the bank is what we need. I’m here to tell you that this is the sunscreen that you’re looking for!

Price: $24NZD

Quantity: 50ml

Product Description: RELIABLE PROTECTION UNDER STRONG SUNLIGHT, WITH SPF LEVEL OF 50+ PA++++

How to use: Take an appropriate amount of the product and apply it around your face evenly.

This sunscreen provides SPF50+ PA++++ against strong UV rays. It contains natural ingredients found under the sea like Jeju brown algae extract, glasswort extract, and deep-sea water that moisturizes and nourishes the skin.

This sunscreen comes in two different versions. While Fresh version uses organic UV filters for a refreshing finish, the Tone-up version uses physical UV filter (zinc oxide and titanium dioxide) that gives off a brightening and velvety finish.

What’s the difference between organic UV filter and physical UV filters?

Basically, organic UV filter refers to chemical sunscreens which provides maximum broad-spectrum coverage. They are designed to absorb UV radiation. In addition, apply easily onto the skin and they don’t leave white residue that can be found in physical sunscreens. Meanwhile, physical, or inorganic filters are ingredients like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide that is found in mineral sunscreens. They photostable, meaning they don’t have to be reapplied as much as when you use chemical sunscreens and its doesn’t require a 15-minute window in between application to be effective.

Personal Experience

Before, I’ve only worn sunscreen when I go swimming to avoid getting sunburned. I remember not being a fan of it because they smell like chemicals and feel so sticky. As I started to become more conscious of my skin and health, I realized how important it is to wear sunscreen everyday especially at these times when our weather and environment isn’t getting better.

Luckily, we got tons of sunscreens for every skin type and preference in the market and one of them is the Rom&nd Zero Sun Clean Fresh. As mentioned before, it has two versions: Fresh and Tone-Up. I decided to go with the Fresh version because I got oily-combo skin I’m scared that I might experience oiliness, peeling and white cast with the Tone-Up version.

It has almost the same size as every sunscreen I’ve tried before and its affordable too. I’ve seen sunscreens that are expensive and glad that this isn’t one of them because I really liked this sunscreen. It applies smoothly onto skin (I use the two-finger method). It doesn’t have a strong scent and doesn’t feel greasy at all! It doesn’t peel at first use and even after reapplying. I haven’t worn makeup for awhile so I’m not sure how it would look when you reapply it on top of your makeup.

But overall, I would recommend this to all skin types especially with oily and sensitive skin! This is such a good sunscreen at an affordable price, and I see myself repurchasing more of this product once I ran out.

Thank you all for reading!
