If your skin is lacking in hydration, you could be suffering from symptoms like skin cracking, flaking, or peeling, followed by itchiness and redness.

Dry skin can happen to anyone at any time of life, caused by either genetics, aging, colder seasons, and repeated hot-water bathing habits. When this skin type is left untreated it can result in fine lines, lack of glow, textured skin, and even symptoms of contact dermatitis or atopic dermatitis (eczema).

If you’re not too sure if you have dry or oily skin because rich creams make you oily but you feel tightened inside, you probably have dehydrated-oily skin. For these skin types, you need to make sure you use products that are highly hydrating, yet with a lightweight texture. This skin type is mostly seen in those in their early 20s to mid-30s. Over that age, the skin tends to slow down in essential sebum and natural oil production - which is when you need your heavier moisturisers and face oils. While most ingredients are safe to use, all dry skin types should avoid over-exfoliating, acidic ingredients, and alcohol.
