Good vibes only? Nah. Real vibes only - cut through the noise and hear what's actually worth your time, and what to forget.
Not everything deserves your energy, and itβs not something to feel guilty about. This month is about making space for habits, moments and mindsets that actually add value to your life - instead of draining it. Not sure where to start? Hereβs our no-nonsense guide to whatβs in and whatβs out for June.
Out with the old, in with the new:
Seasonal blues are hitting right now, and sometimes itβs the smallest things that make all the difference. Your words are powerful, a genuine compliment can make someoneβs week, for free!
Notice the effort and extra lengths someone takes, whether itβs their kindness, a small detail in their outfit, or something that reminded you of them. A genuine compliment a day, keeps bad energy at bay.
Not good with words? Start here:
π Wish the barista or bus driver a good day
π Text a friend youβre thinking of them with a meme
π If you can't think of something, donβt force it
News flash! No one is thriving 24/7, we all have our days, and pretending otherwise is exhausting.Β
Stop being hard on yourself and drop the pressure to be happy or productive - while youβre perfect, youβre also human. If youβre tired, rest. Sad? Feel it.Β
Celebrate your wins, but leave space for your lows. Radical self-listening is cool, and the best way to avoid burn out.
Keep it real:
π« Donβt bottle it up! Talk to your loved ones
π« Take a break from social media when you feel the comparison trap
π« Remind yourself - it's okay to be a work in progress
Being self-aware? In, always. Plot twistβ¦ your feelings are the best life coach youβll ever have. Tuning into your body and mind and listening to your needs is the most powerful tool you can have, and is how you will become the best version of yourself.
The key to journaling? Intention. Note down how youβre feeling physically and emotionally, track energy, notice your mood.Β
Over time, you'll pick up patterns - sync low-energy days with walks and gentle movement, and HIIT and runs for when youβre buzzing.
Where to start:
βοΈ Keep a notebook by your bed for quick check-ins
βοΈ Not a writer? Try a mood tracking app!
βοΈ Consistency over perfection - donβt stress about missed days
You feel tired just thinking about it. People-pleaser or suffering from chronic FOMO, itβs okay to choose rest when you really need it and you donβt need to be everywhere, all the time.
Youβll show up better when youβre actually up for it, and real friends will understand - it comes down to communicating honestly, and considering their feelings too.Β
Suggest a raincheck or something more low-key, and prioritise your energy. Donβt feel guilty for recharging!
Set boundaries:
π Practice saying βmaybeβ and confirming later
π Suggest alternatives like coffee and a walk
π Rest is productive! Youβre allowed to rest.
Who knew your new favourite hobby would beβ¦ listening? Podcasts are a great way to learn, laugh and feel connected - without a screen. Juicy gossip, true crime, wellness or just a good laugh, thereβs something there for everyone.
Swap out a scroll session a week for a podcast episode, and youβll find yourself being more productive! Itβs the perfect listen for walks and chores, or even for some nice background chatter.
Need a rec?
π§ βCall Her Daddyβ for unhinged laughs
π§ βWhatβs The Juiceβ for health and self-growth
π§ βStuff You Should Knowβ for extra knowledge
What were the last 5 TikToks you watched? Yep, thought so. Raise your hand if youβve ever finished a scroll session and feltβ¦ nothing. Doom scrolling is the thief of time, sleep and productivity.
Imagine what you could have done with that hour you didnβt realise had passed? Start by cutting 10 minutes off your daily scroll; 10 extra minutes of sleep, 10 more minutes to get ready, or make coffee. Your sleep - and your attention span - will thank you.
Break the habit:
π± Watch a movie (without your phone)
π± Set timers on your social apps
π± Replace a scroll session with a podcast or book
I had a chat with your wallet, and they asked me to have a word with you - they need a break. Theyβre telling me itβs a you problem, and your space agrees.Β
Before you buy, ask yourself, βWill I use this more than twice?β βWill it add value?β Hit pause for 24 hours before purchasing, and go for quality over quality - sometimes all you need is a breath of fresh air and some grass to curb the urge.Β
Intentional spending is real girl math: less clutter = rich + happy.

πΈ Make a wishlist of wants and needs
πΈ Support local markets and NZ businesses
πΈ Save for experiences that are truly worth it
While we canβt control the weather, we can control our perspective. Constant complaining doesnβt change the weather, it drains your energy and everyone elseβs.
Invest in a raincoat that's actually cute, and some comfy boots - a great intentional purchase and something youβll actually use.
Sometimes a shift in how we see things is all it takes to turn ugh into something wholesome.
Get in the winter mood:
βοΈ Plan indoor activities to look forward to
βοΈ Visit a new cafe or bake something fun
βοΈ Cosy up your space and enjoy the vibes
Take what works, leave the rest; self care looks different for everyone. Growth is about progress, not perfection! Hereβs to a June that fuels us, and small changes that brighten up our lives even in the gloomiest days.
Keep growing, Beauties x
