5 Tips to Stay Cool Under the Summer Heat

As the colder months fade away, the warmer days are just around the corner. All the summer activities we’ve been dying to do are now within reach, it’s essential to enjoy ourselves while staying safe. Here are our top five tips to help you stay cool during the hot months ahead!

Tip #1: Stay Sun Smart 😎

No matter the weather - rain or shine, it’s VERY important to wear sunscreen. You might be thinking; “Rain? There is no way we need sunscreen when it's not that sunny.” Think again! 80% of UV rays can still penetrate through clouds so get ready to protect your skin.


To prevent sun damage to our very precious skin we ALL must do what we’ve been taught in school and wear sunscreen (slip, slop, slap and wrap!) ☀️ You can find our range of sunscreen here ; you’ll be spoilt for choice.

If you’re stuck and don’t know where to start, the SKIN1004 Sun Serum is my personal favourite sunscreen. This sun serum is a non-nano chemical sunscreen that leaves my skin feeling moisturised and looking oh-so-dewy! It’s lightweight formula gives my skin breathability while still being protected. Just remember to re-apply every 2 to 4 hours, and more often if you’re out sweating or at the beach.

Tip #2: Pack on the Toner Pads

The extra heat in the air during the warmer months can readily drain the moisture from your skin. That’s where toner pads come in! They’re designed to prepare your skin for the next following skincare steps in your routine, but they are more than just that. Hello duality! 


If the heat has you feeling flushed, use toner pads like a sheet mask.
