by Leah Jung

Hey Beauties~
Got ULTRA SENSITIVE SKIN? TIRED OF BREAKING OUT? Well, we might have the perfect product just for you!😍 Be aware because the Acwell Liquorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner could deliver you a life changing experience!! 😉😉

Price: $20

Quantity: 150ml

Product description: “Daily pH-balancing toner that uses licorice root water to hydrate skin and refine skin texture by removing dead skin cells and impurities”

How to use: After cleansing, pour an appropriate amount onto a cotton pad and gently sweep across the face and neck. Starting from the centre of the face(nose area) and move outwards(cheekbones).

Key Ingredients:

Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) root extract

  • Is an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant as ‘licochalcone’, a molecule in licorice root extract helps to control excess oil production, and helps calm/soothe irritated skin.
  • Deeply hydrates the skin, making it look more luminous and glowy.
  • ‘Liquiritin’, a compound found in licorice root, helps to lighten certain areas on skin to create an even skin tone.

Green tea extract

  • Is a very powerful antioxidant, protecting our skin against environmental pollutants.
  • Helps to calm and soothe the skin, great for irritated and/or acne-prone skin.
  • Helps to reduce acne scars and pigmentation.

ALSO, the Acwell licorice toner is a low pH of 5.5! What does this mean?

The ideal pH level of your skin is 5.5, this is because it keeps the skin looking radiant and resists harmful bacteria which benefits the sensitive skins. Depending on the amount of oil production or/and cleansing the skin, the pH level slightly raises or decreases, and if you ignore these factors, the higher the chance of your skin breaking out (especially sensitive skins). The Acwell 5.5 licorice toner is perfect for this skin type as it balances the pH level of the skin back to 5.5.

The consistency of this toner is more towards the runny and watery side, but it’s ever so slightly thicker than JUST water. Although it is quite far from the thick and dewy toners. It feels very smooth and refreshing on skin, giving that glowy look but not sticky at all!😮

In terms of texture, it is VERY lightweight! It almost feels like water on skin (but way more hydrating) and it doesn’t give the heavy feeling of ‘too much’ on skin at all. It relatively has a silky texture to it as well, making it glide easily on skin without irritating.

Personal Thoughts

This toner was one of the products that I wanted to get but was scared of it breaking me out. I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin so I have to be VERY cautious when buying a new product (would love to try all of them though😥).

However, while working, I’ve served countless customers who LOVED this toner and said that it’s one of their HOLY GRAILS. After hearing all these, my curiosity reached its limit and I couldn’t help myself really 😛

And in conclusion? I LOVED it! ❤️
I didn’t break out at all, instead, my skin was actually very compatible with this toner! Even though it wasn’t major like a miracle, I did notice my skin feeling softer and more even in texture. It also looked brighter and more refined! Currently I’m using a different toner (because this one is almost finished) but I would DEFINITELY come back to this one someday!

I really recommend the Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Toner to Beauties that have a similar skin type as I do (Combination + Sensitive) or beauties who just have extremely sensitive skin.

I hope all of you are staying SAFE and COMFY And I’ll come back soon with another post!

Till then, Bye Beauties~
