HI-REVIEW: Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel SPF 50+ PA++++
Hi Beauties! Today I’m so excited to talk to you about Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ which is popular sunscreen from Isntree! I’ve been seeing this a lot in Instagram and Tiktok so I kinda feel ecstatic to be on the trend. XD I’ve only tried their Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream which I also reviewed (feel free to check it out!) and yes, I’m always eager to try new products from this brand.
Price: $32
Quantity: 50ml
Product Description: “Leaves skin soft and moist with powerful UV defence!”
How to use: At the last stage of your skincare, apply a suitable amount onto the face and gently tap it. Wait for 15 minutes before leaving the house. Reapply every 2 hours.
The organic Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel claims to block UV rays chemically. This is chemical sunscreen that absorbs UV rays and breaks down to change them to heat. It also doesn’t have active ingredients like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide which makes this sunscreen lightweight and not leave a white cast although you’d have to wait for 15-30-minutes before going out.
It also claims to alleviate skin irritation with its active ingredients to help soothe the heated skin and prevent dryness. This product contains widely popular ingredients like Centella Asiatica Extract (relieves irritated and sensitive skin), and Ceramides (replenishes skin moisture) which is perfect for all-weather usage.
Lastly, they said it enhances moisture, whitening and wrinkles with its eight-layer hyaluronic acid that locks moisture in the skin, retains skin firmness with functional ingredients and whitening. When the skin gets damaged by strong UV, Hyaluronic acid helps to prevent dehydration by maintaining the skin’s moisture necessary for a healthy skin.
Personal Experience
I prefer chemical sunscreens the most of the since I haven’t found a physical one that suits my liking. When I found out that this is chemical sunscreen, I immediately incorporated it in my routine.
It’s in a tube container with a small snout. I personally like the packaging; it dispenses a good amount of product and its quite small which makes it easy to use if you want to reapply.
In terms of scent, it does have a bit (smells like your usual sunscreen) but isn’t empowering that would have reminded you of the old sunscreens we had in the past.
I like that its lightweight and feel a bit cooling when applied and it quickly absorbs into the skin! It doesn’t peel the skincare products I applied beforehand. It gives a dewy finish, and I don’t experience it getting too shiny after a while although it can be shiny for some since you’d have to reapply it every 2 hours when you’re under the sun. Other than that, I also have not experienced any irritations and reactions after weeks of using it.
Overall, this a great sunscreen; it has a high SPF and its super easy to apply and quick to absorb (awesome for oily-combo people like me). Since it’s also a chemical sunscreen, it won’t leave a white cast which is always a plus for medium to dark skin tones. Just take note that since you’d have to reapply it during the day, you might finish the tube quickly. But other than that, its definitely worth the hype and I recommend you give it a try!
