Personal Review
To be completely honest, Snail Mucin isn’t usually an ingredient I gravitate toward. I’ve tried it here and there, but it never really stuck in my routine, until I tried this essence! The K-Secret Seoul 1988 Essence turned out to be exactly what my skin needed as a hydration top-up without weighing me down.
Whenever my skin felt too dry or tight, I reached for this, and it instantly softened and refreshed my complexion. I loved that it gave me that plump, bouncy feeling without leaving behind a greasy film. The texture is light and silky with a touch of that classic snail mucin “sliminess,” but it sinks in quickly and leaves my skin feeling baby soft.
The addition of Rice Ferment really stood out to me. I noticed that on mornings after using the essence, my skin looked noticeably clearer, more even, and brighter. It was especially good at targeting dry patches, smoothing them out so my skin looked more flawless and makeup applied great the next day. Speaking of makeup, it layers beautifully with no pilling at all, even under foundation or sunscreen, which is a huge plus.
