Personal review
I’ve tried many mineral and chemical sunscreens over the years, as finding a sunscreen I really love has been challenging. After using the Madagascar Centella Air-fit Suncream Light SPF30 Broad Spectrum over the summer break this has to be one of my top picks!
One of my favourite features of this sunscreen is its lightweight application. The weightless feel is a significant plus for me, especially during warmer months. Unlike many mineral sunscreens that can feel heavy and leave a white cast, this is surprisingly light on your skin. My skin has a yellow undertone and this didn’t leave a white cast at all. It also has a lovely dewy finish and sits under makeup really well.
I also liked how gentle it is on the skin. The formula is vegan and hypoallergenic, so is a good choice if you have sensitive skin. I experienced no redness or itching even after going on a long hike in the sun. Another bonus is that it has almost no scent at all. The formula claims to brighten your skin, however I didn’t see a noticeable difference, though this could be a long-term use benefit.
In terms of packaging, the sleek and compact tube is a great size to keep in your bag for re-application during the day. A special mention goes to the pump dispenser - it meant that there wasn’t any waste which I loved. I’m used to the product getting all over the inside of the cap with other brands! The 50ml tube is on the smaller side, but a little goes a long way with this sunscreen.
If you’re searching for a mineral sunscreen that is light and effective, I highly recommend giving this a try. Even though it’s designed for sensitive skin this would make a great sunscreen for all skin types.
