ZOEY'S "How to Get Glass Skin"✨
안녕 Beauties~
We’re spicing things up a little and today I’ll be writing about a very popular trend in skincare world - ✨ glass skin ✨ (and how to achieve it, so keep reading 😗)
I first heard of this term back in 2017 when an article written about influencer Ellie Choi went viral and my friend sent it to me, saying that I would suit the “glass skin” look and I should attempt to attain it by curating my skincare routine more, as I was still being quite random with my choice of products at that time.
So what is glass skin? It’s a name used for clear, luminous, and seemingly transparent skin. In Ellie Choi’s photos, she looks poreless and dewy, and her skin has a very natural sheen to it 🌟
Within the years 2018-2019, all that matte/rougher texture on my skin started to melt away and I managed to successfully get a glowy radiance to really show through my skin. It was like I had a natural highlighter on, and my skin looked so plump and healthy! My No.1 tip: switching to gel-type skincare products (e.g. using a gel cream instead of a thick moisturiser) are key! Here’s a before and after:

These days, the concept of “cream skin” is starting to become a thing too - this technique of getting a milky 🍼 and glowy 💫 look is more focused on softening, hydration absorption. Since I don’t have a naturally thin/translucent skin surface, I thought combining both “glass” and “cream” would be the perfect fit for me!
I’ve selected my top 3 products, which are all available on the Hikoco website, that allows me to have clear-as-glass skin all year round 💎
No.1 Laneige Cream Skin Refiner Mist
No.2 Neogen Real Ferment Micro Essence
No.3 By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water
After layering these products on top of each other, you should get a pretty “cream glow”, as I describe it, like shown:
Finally, here are the most recent photos of my skin! Besides the occasional hormonal pimple, my skin has been very clear and I’m proud that all the hard work and careful selection of mists and essences paid off 😇 Some final tips for you guys: remember to do gentle exfoliating 2-3 times a week, and stay hydrated daily by drink plenty of water as well! 💧
Good luck and keep glowing Beauties 🤩 See you back here next time~
What kind of exfoliating do you do? Manual or acids? Your skin looks amazing!
