by Renee Han

Have you guys heard about ‘Niacinamide’?

It is an essential nutrient that our bodies naturally produce and as known as nicotinamide, is a form of Vitamin B3 with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

When it comes into your skin care routine, it helps the skin in so many ways. The main benefits would be brightening, reducing acne (combatting acne and rosacea) and redness and even Anti-aging. Plus! It helps to minimize the pores. So for those who are worried and want to get rid of enlarged pores, dull skin (improve uneven skin tone), soften wrinkles/fine lines or redness, you should try using a Niacinamide product.

It also has been shown to control excess oil for oily and combination skin types. From this, it helps to prevent further breakouts. Lastly, Niacinamide is great on preventing the transfer of pigment within the skin. This means it can help reduce dark spots, redness and strengthened skin barriers.

3. Dr. Jart Dermask Micro Jet Clearing Solution Sheet Mask

It help balance uneven skin tone and soothes the troubled skin. It contains Salicylic Acid, Tea Tree oil and of course, Niacinamide! These three ingredients will help to control excessive oil and breakouts. And with Glutathione, it reduces the hyperpigmentation including dark spots, and acne scars.

After apply toner, simply apply this ultra-fine microfibre sheet mask on your face. Make sure to adjust it around the eye and mouth area. You can leave it on for 15-20 minutes, then pat remaining serum until the essence is absorbed. Apply your moisturiser after, to lock in all the essence your skin absorbed.

Generally, you can use Niacinamide products in your daily skincare: twice a day, both day and night time. Although Niacinamide is suitable for all skin types (even sensitive type), if you're combining Niacinamide with Vitamin C, the two strong ingredients may cause skin irritation for someone who have super sensitive skin. If you would like to use both ingredients in your skin care routine, try taking turns and using one ingredient during the day time and one at night time 🌙 Or you can use on alternating days!

For the best results, I would recommend you to use any products constantly, with patience. Expecting results in a short period of time may even do you worse if you consider your skin condition on the long run. Consistency is Key!

Hope my blog gave you guys some helpful information about Niacinamide and the products that includes this magic brightening ingredient. Thanks for reading Beauties!! ❤️
