HI-REVIEW: COSRX Good Morning Gel Cleanser ☀️

Today we have the famous COSRX Low pH Good Morning Cleanser! I’m here to give you more information on this product and my opinion! This product is super popular and sells out quickly which made me wonder why is this product so popular and why do people love it so much??

This cleanser is super gentle and is great for a morning cleanse, it has a low pH (pH level 5.0 ~ 6.0) formula and is a gel type which means it won’t strip your skin of its natural oils due to it being similar to the skin's natural pH level! The cleanser contains purifying botanical ingredients and mild acids that help to gently cleanse your skin leaving it supple with a clear texture. It's been formulated to remove makeup as well as other oil base residues.

Consistency: 

This cleanser is a gel type, it does great when removing makeup so you can actually use this day as well night! But personally I wouldn’t use this as a makeup remover as it tends to sting around my eye area when it goes in my eyes. I love using an oil based cleanser to take of makeup or the Aritaum Poyan Makeup Remover! Surprisingly this cleanser lathers up quite nicely similar to a foam based cleanser which is probably why is does an amazing job cleansing makeup! I found this great for removing the excess makeup on my face.

Scent : 

This smells a lot like tea tree oil and slightly medicinal? I actually really love the smell because it smells natural and refreshing! And the scent doesn't linger!

Ingredients 

It’s great for sensitive and dry skin but no matter what skin type you are it does an amazing job regardless! It works well for acne-prone/oily skin types because of great ingredients it contains!

Saccharomyces Ferment ➡️This is a fermented yeast which can be found in the Missha Time Revolution Essence & the NEOGEN Real Ferment Micro Essence! The ingredient helps with brightening and provides a hydrated glow to the skin!

Betaine Salicylate ➡️Improves skin texture and skin tone, reduce blackheads by preventing the formation of clogged pores. Similar to salicylic acid (BHA) but more gentle.

Tea Tree Leaf Oil ➡️Is a very popular ingredient because of its amazing skin soothing properties as well as being an antioxidant/antiseptic. Kills bacteria and treats breakouts.

My Opinion

This cleanser by Cosrx is amazing and I see why it's a holygrail for many people! Im currently going through breakouts and I believe that it did a great job at soothing my acne without drying out my face like other acne cleansers on the market. What I noticed is that my face isn't as oily since it doesn't strip the moisture from my face which means my face doesn’t need to produce more oil to make it moisturised!

But do take a note that using a cleanser in general does dry out your skin regardless, but this cleanser did a great job with not drying it to the point where my face feels uncomfortable to smile. The Tea tree oil is working amazing in this cleanser to soothe my breakouts. My skin usually feels super supple, fresh, clear and soft whenever I use this cleanser. I definitely recommend this cleanser!

Pros: 

• Cleanses well
• Affordable
• Good for all skin types
• Gentle
• Non Drying
• Low pH 5.0~6.0

Cons:

• The scent can come off a little strong for some people but it doesnt linger!
• Not strong enough for PM cleansing unless you use the double cleanse method! (taking makeup off prior)
