HI-REVIEW : Etude House Play 101 Stick Contour Duo

Hi Beauties! 🌸

Etude House recently updated their Contour Duo Stick! Highly popular for their easy to use formula, with contour and highlight in one, let’s check it out together .Price: $22

Quantity: 2g + 3.8g

Product Description“A creamy contour duo that creates a look of authentic dimensionality of face.”

How to UseApply the highlighting color on T-zone, cheek bones and cupid’s bow, and the shading color on sides of nose, hair line and below the jaw line.At first impression, there isn’t much difference compared to the last version of the Stick Contour. The packaging looks much more refined now, and I believe there is more product too 🤩 ! I also noticed the stick is now in an angle form, which claims to be much easier to apply with.Me, and my very limited contouring knowledge, tried some basic steps with the Stick Contour. First I started with the jaw. I have quite a baby chubby face 👶 , so let’s draw a hard stroke down my jaw, and top it off with a bit of highlight on my chin.Next up, I drew a line from the side of my cheeks to indicate where my non-existent cheekbones should be 😪 . Don’t forget to add a line of highlight on top of the contour line!^ Lastly, I contoured the sides and tip of my nose to turn my small nose to a tall one! Ending the process with one stroke of highlight down my nose.

^^^ After all the doodles, It should look something like this!

^ I blended it all out with a cushion puff, I think it would look best if you used whatever you used for your base!

Personal Thoughts

The end result is really subtle and natural! My face is definitely much more defined, especially my nose. For first timers (aka me 🤓 ), the Stick Contour was very easy and straightforward to use. The formula glided smoothly when applying, and it felt really light on my skin, no heaviness or caky finish! Since it’s so light, there is barely any space for errors. Everything blended nicely, even when I had no idea what I was doing 👀 .I highly recommend this to beauties who are not familiar with contouring. It is super duper easy and you honestly have nothing to fear! For the beauties who already love that contour look, I don’t think the Stick Contour can achieve heavy contouring. But for a subtle daily contour look, this could definitely be a product you should consider.

Thanks for reading my rambles 💖

Stay gorgeous 🌸 till next time~

    Hi Natalie,

It may be your first time but I think it turned out really well! Which colour were you using? Was that 01 original?
