HI-REVIEW: Isntree Onion Newpair Clear Pad
Have you ever thought about using skincare products containing onions? Incorporating new ingredients into your skincare routine can be scary especially when it’s something new. I was the same, but a few weeks ago, I decided to trust in K-Beauty and try out the Isntree Onion Newpair Clear Pad.

Product description:
The Isntree Onion Newpair toner pad is made of 7 layers of cotton, enabling each pad to hold a lot of product in between.
These toner pads contain several elements which aid in hydration and soothing. The key ingredient, onion bulb extract (82% Allium Cepa) provides calming effects. Red onion extract protects the skin barrier and soothes irritation. They also contain niacinamide for pore care and sebum control, and a vitamin C derivative for brightening. The use of PHA (a smaller molecule than AHA & BHA) further helps exfoliate dead skin cells without irritating the skin.
Personal review:
As someone whose skin is quite sensitive, I have never thought of putting onion based ingredients into my skincare routine. It just seemed too… acidic in my mind? I was very hesitant to try these toner pads, and was running around asking many people their opinion. Eventually though, I grew the courage and I’ve never looked back!
The consistency of these toner pads are actually very lightweight with a smooth application, leaving no sticky residue. I’ve found that my skin is instantly hydrated and glowy.
The only issue I have with this product is that it doesn’t come with any tweezers, making the pads hard to take out. I believe the first few times I was pulling out three pads at once thinking it was just one, so just be careful when pulling them out!
When first applying these toner pads, I loved how thick they were from the 7 layers. I was never really keen on using toner pads as the ones I’ve used previously have just felt like they’re just scratching my face and not doing anything. I loved how soft these were, and my skin was so hydrated after! I don’t have the best luck when it comes to chemical exfoliants, but these toner pads contain PHA which is more gentle. I used these twice a day and haven’t once experienced any irritation!
Because of the brightening properties (Vitamin C derivative & tranexamic acid), I thought this would be great for my acne scarring. I don’t have too much, but it was enough for me to seek a product that would help minimise them. I was right! These pads helped reduce the appearance of scarring, and as someone with a lot of texture, I have been receiving more compliments about how my skin is looking smoother.
Overall, these toner pads are great, and a product I would repurchase! It’s so multipurpose - soothing, hydrating, exfoliating and brightening. This product is 100% safe for sensitive Beauties too!
If anyone does try these toner pads, I hope you love them as much as I do. Bye Beauties!
You mentioned you use them morning and night I think .. so which products or ingredients should I avoid while using them?, can I use azelaic acid in the same routine?
